It's not everyday these guys show up in your "backyard". This weekend our local historical society held a Civil War Reenactment in our park. We walked down to see the battle. Great historical lesson for the kids and it was rather fun and interesting to watch. We spoke to several reenactors and they really enjoy what they do. The Union won the day we were there, however rumor has it the South won the next day. I could hear the cannons even when I was home and smelled their campfires on Saturday evening. A little step back in time, even the "wee ones" play their part. Are they not the cutest!
